The drug is supplied in lorazepam 1mg pills. The optimum daily dose for an adult person is 2mg. This dose should be divided into three parts so that the most part was taken in the evening. So, lorazepam 0.5mg will be very convenient for use. If this dose does not provide effect, it can be gradually increased by the third part of pill during several days. The initial treatment course with Lorazepam should not exceed 10 days.
For senior patients, an initial drug dose is 500mg (half of lorazepam 1mg pill). Later a dose can be increased, if required. If lorazepam pills are used for sleeplessness treatment, it is enough to take lorazepam 1mg pill at bedtime.
